Representing the balance between classical Asian furniture forms and mid-century aesthetics, this dining chair forms the first impression of Stellar Works' Mandarin collection. Design directors Neri & Hu expand on their creative imperative by employing revered motifs as the starting point: "The sphere which symbolises the temple of Heaven versus the square form represented by the temple of Earth," says Lyndon Neri. That translates as supremely comfortable seating—the graceful wood frame in ash/walnut with brass-plated detail and the sweeping seat fabricated in fiberglass and sheathed in a luxe leather.
