With the repetition of a single wood plank, the Barrel collection's Brutalist-leaning design bonafides also translate into a hybrid stool/side table. Philippe Malouin employs the same length of pre-sawn American white oak for constructing the laminated top as well as the base, where the planks are sliced in half and tessellated in a circular pattern. Awarded the Design Guild Mark, the versatile piece features a harmonizing natural oiled finish and is made in Europe from solid FSC timbers.
