Oud LED Table Lamp

With standouts like the Oud Lamp, New Zealand's Resident has been making design waves with its luxe but spare aesthetic. An asymmetric geometric framework in gleaming polished brass could be merely an impressive sculpture but it houses a warm LED task light. In a counterpoint to that trapezoid, a polished crimson marble sphere rests intriguingly on the bottom support. No mere decoration, it's proportioned to fit the palm of the hand and switches the lamp on/off with each quarter-turn. Designer Nat Cheshire says, "I realized how hungry the world was for the special."
