Form Chair: Wood Base + Upholstered

Description

An upholstered option elevates both Form—the eponymous name of Simon Legald's chair series—and its function. Introduced in 2015 with Simon's fellow Danes at Normann Copenhagen, Form is a serious rethinking of the seamless polypropylene shell chair, involving more than 20 different prototypes and 3 years. "I had an idea of what the ideal chair should look like," notes Simon. Fabric options from noted Denmark purveyors Gabriel and Kvadrat, as well as a refined leather selection, imbue the minimalist shape with an added luxurious finesse. Also arresting is the elegant contrast of streamlined seat with the structural chair frame, available in walnut or oak.
