Form. And function. The armchair version in Danish designer Simon Legald's Form series doesn't stint on either quality. His seamless polypropylene shell chair for Normann Copenhagen is the result of more than 20 prototypes created over 3 years. Only then did he find a way to gracefully integrate the molded plastic seat with the steel chair frame for a clean silhouette. And the sturdy materials and contoured shape mean hours of comfortable seating. "I had an idea of what the ideal chair should look like," Simon says. "I analyzed hundreds of chairs from different periods during the design process."
