Designer Bertjan Pot's Non Random is made of resin "yarn" interlaced in a criss-cross pattern to form an imperfectly shaped, tear-dropped shade. Akin to an irregular ball of string or a falling drop of water, it differs from Moooi's rounder cousin Random that fills a room with a nonspecific glow in every direction. Instead, Non Random is intently focused: it emits a downward-directed light via a small reflector.
