Soul Story 1 Wall Lamp
Description
Soul Story 1, like its sister wall lights, was born of a chance meeting between French-Lebanese designer Charles Kalpakian and DCW Ăditionsâ FrĂ©dĂ©ric Winkler at a design fair. In white plaster, with or without gold leaf decoration, the designer plays on the image of a dusky night suddenly being pierced with a surreal ray of light in the varied constructions lit by an integrated LED. Kalpakian even includes a doppelgĂ€nger of himself in the small metal figure standing watch, inviting further contemplation of the configuration while also acting as a type of signature.
