Bernard Schottlander’s midcentury metal lamp inspired by the mobiles of Alexander Calder adds the BS5 wall version. With an adjustable arm and pivoting shade, Mantis embodies the functional movement that was at the heart of Schottlander’s work as an artist and engineer. It’s topped off with the distinctive helix-like sculptural shade in spun aluminum that denotes the pioneering designer’s lighting series.
