Description

Turning away from the ponderously heavy seating of the time, seminal Danish modernist Hans J. Wegner took a more exuberant approach with his sleek 1954 highback lounge chair. Mama Bear has a sculptural presence, delineated by its invitingly curved contours that seem to the surround the sitter in a calming embrace. The frame, armrests, and legs are made from solid FSC-certified oak or walnut, with myriad upholstery choices in a premium textile or buttery leather.
