Hans J. Wegner's groundbreaking Shell Lounge Chair gets a version in rich oiled or lacquered walnut with premium textile or leather upholstery. Its winglike profile and distinctive curving tapered legs may have been ahead of their time in 1963 on its debut but its reissue in 1998 heralded a modernist icon. The comfort-inducing seat and back are made from highest quality, form-pressed hardwood laminates and the stable trio of front and back legs is each shaped in a single continuous length.
