Stockholm architect-designers Claesson Koivisto Rune conceal Kilt Light 137’s roomy storage compartments behind 3 doors with a pattern inspired by tartan plaid. The cabinet’s geometrics also adhere to the “golden ratio” that ancient Greeks believed was the most aesthetically pleasing. Carefully made in Sweden from lacquered MDF in a range of colors, Asplund’s unit has openings at the back for ventilation or cables and is mounted on either a matching or contrasting powder-coated metal stand.
